EA actually showed off Need for Speed Shift and another independent developer showed off an FPS game. Needless to say they look amazing based on the hardware. From the screens they look like mid-ps2-generation games but will a lot of AA (from the looks of it). Engadget.com has the liveblog and photos they've taken from the conference.
Did you play it? Do you plan on playing it? If not, your opinion is worthless.
On Topic: The game is definitely garnering a lot of positive opinions from the reviewing community. I definitely think this game has a chance to be goty, even with the onslaught of games later in the year.
I hope you don't mean the PS3, because it has quite a few 10/10's from them. :o

You know its funny, because I just scanned through all the exclusives on each system and there are only 2 10/10 that Eurogamer gave out to the 360. The PS3 has only 1 10/10 but PLENTY of 9/10's from Eurogamer.

I really hope Bioshock 2 sells well on the PS3. The first one was great and I hate to see it fail commercially because it is truly something different compared to other shooters.

Alliance Battles and Dungeons are definitely where it is at right now. The addition of Dhuum has also greatly boosted interest in UW again. I have mixed feelings about splitting pve and pvp skills, but I still think it has had an overall positive effect. I mean, if they reduced the skills to what they are in pvp, a lot of the meta builds will be broken, which could cause a lot of anger amongst the community. I especially do not want to think of how to tackle elite areas where it previously to...
I really hope they make the AI a lot more aggressive. It looks a bit too easy to pummel through all the henchmen at this point. However, everything else looks great!

Uh, I just want to point out that they are talking about the story not the game mechanics. They are stating that the script material may differ from the book, which is why it may upset the fans of the timeline.

You are missing one aspect however. You may do healthy activities in conjunction with gaming but that does not rule out all the other people who don't. As a result, the issue that this article is addressing is valid and is something that should be examined.

Relic is making a hacknslash/action adventurer game based on the Space Marines. There was a teaser video and some leaked pre-alpha footage from the looks of it online. Don't know much else about the game.
It was a stage demonstration. The person is talking about the game while the crowd watches. I would know, I've been to the AGS before. Besides, if you mute the whole video, you would not hear any of the engine sounds. So, best way is to deal with it.

Does it even matter? As long as the device is capable, easy to use, and in some cases, aesthetically appealing, then it dominates. The majority are not looking for the highest spec capable. They are looking for the 3 factors I just outlined. As long as they fulfill those 3 requirements, it will sell and sell. And also, you never see the highest spec device dominate over others. It is always the one that, again, fulfills those 3 outlines.
